What we can help with
Our inbox is open to anything related to the site. Email contact@fakeimagedetector.com about:
- Bug reports. Scans that fail, results that look broken, layout glitches, anything misbehaving.
- Feature suggestions. Ideas for new checks, supported formats, or improvements to the reports.
- Corrections. Factual errors in a blog article or anywhere else on the site. If we got something wrong, we genuinely want to know.
- Press and research enquiries. Questions about image forensics, AI detection, or the tool itself for an article, broadcast, or academic project.
- Advertising and partnerships. Proposals relevant to our audience and mission.
- Privacy questions. Anything about how the site handles data, alongside our privacy policy.
How to get a fast, useful answer
For bug reports, include four things: the browser and device you were using, the image format and rough file size, what you expected to happen, and what actually happened. An exact error message or a screenshot of the page helps a lot. With all of that in one email, we can usually reproduce the problem straight away instead of writing back to ask.
Please do not attach images you consider sensitive or private. If we need a sample file to reproduce a bug, we will ask for one, and anything you send is used only to investigate that issue.
What we cannot do
- Analyse images by email. All scanning happens through the tool on the home page; we do not run manual checks on emailed files.
- Provide certified forensic reports. Our results are informational and are not admissible evidence. For legal matters, consult a qualified digital forensics professional; see our disclaimer.
- Arbitrate disputes. We cannot rule on whether a specific photo circulating online is real. The tool gives you signals; the judgement is yours.
Response times
We are a small team, but every message is read. Expect a reply within 24 to 48 hours for most enquiries; bug reports that need investigation can take a little longer, and we will say so if they do.
Before you email
Many questions are already answered on the FAQ page: supported formats, how the four analysis layers work, what happens to uploaded images (short version: nothing, they are never stored), and how to interpret your results. The about page covers who we are and how the site is funded.
